Mass Effect 2

Description

Two years after Commander Shepard repelled invading Reapers bent on the destruction of organic life, a mysterious new enemy has emerged. On the fringes of known space, something is silently abducting entire human colonies. Now Shepard must work with Cerberus, a ruthless organization devoted to human survival at any cost, to stop the most terrifying threat mankind has ever faced.

To even attempt this perilous mission, Shepard must assemble the galaxy’s most elite team and command the most powerful ship ever built. Even then, they say it would be suicide. Commander Shepard intends to prove them wrong.

Just like in the previous game, what you say to the other characters matters a great deal. Fortunately, the conversation system has been improved. The camera now pans around characters as they talk to one another to evoke a dramatic, cinematic feel.

The series is unrivaled imo in terms of world building. Meaningful choices, great voice acting, writing, set pieces and most of all a great soundtrack. Garrus is best bro (and best lover for FemShep)

I have another 350 hours on this game on Origin. Mass Effect 2 is, most definitely, BioWare's best game to date. I've been playing this game for years and keep coming back to it, even though it's 10 years old. That should be enough for you to understand that it's a good game!

I recommend the game--just not as a digital download. The buying options on Steam are misleading (I don't think this is Steam's fault, I believe it is more of an issue with how Bioware chose to package their content); Buying the "Digital Deluxe Edition" DOES NOT include ALL in-game content. NONE of the DLCs are packaged into the "Digital Deluxe Edition." And NONE of the DLC is purchasable on Steam.

Compared to Mass Effect 1, Mass Effect 2 is equally as amazing. It lost a little bit of the RPG feeling, however, with the combat improvements, it makes up for it greatly. The cover system is a lot better and the skills are just a lot easier to use, especially when it comes to the squadmates.
