Red Dead Redemption

Description

Red Dead Redemption is set during the decline of the American frontier in the year 1911 and follows John Marston, a former outlaw whose wife and son are taken hostage by the government in ransom for his services as a hired gun. Having no other choice, Marston sets out to bring three members of his former gang to justice.

The game is played from a third-person perspective in an open world, allowing the player to interact with the game world at their leisure. The player can travel the virtual world, a fictionalized version of the Western United States and Mexico, primarily by horseback and on foot. Gunfights emphasize a gunslinger gameplay mechanic called "Dead Eye" that allows players to mark multiple shooting targets on enemies in slow motion. The game makes use of a morality system, by which the player's actions in the game affect their character's levels of honor and fame and how other characters respond to the player. An online multiplayer mode is included with the game, allowing up to 16 players to engage in both cooperative and competitive gameplay in a recreation of the single-player setting.

SoHo Dolo

If this was a movie I would say it's one of the best Westerns I've ever seen. With some of the best acting performances. It's a great overall experience. Very mature content so parents beware and use your discretion of how much violence and sexuality you're okay with your kids getting to see.

Red Dead Redemption is one of the best games of the PS3/XBOX360 era. It looked good for a 2010 game. Although RDR2 is much better overall, what RDR has that 2 doesn't is eyepatches, ponchos, Mexico, the horseshoes minigame, liars dice, arm wrestling, night watch job, horse breaking job, and buying property. Random events actually feel random and can happen more than once unlike them feeling scripted and can only happen once in RDR2.

Duke Nukem

First off the story is spectacular as most Rockstar games are. With that being said I found the game extremely repetitive. 1) Go from point a to point b. 2) Cutscene 3) Ride from point b to point c 4) Deadeye + RBx6 and fire 5) Cutscene 6) Repeat. Riding the horse is also very awkward and honestly it is probably the hardest thing to do in the game. In other words, the hardest challenge in the game is controlling your character.

The day this game came out. I didn't leave my house neigh my room NO, my chair... I sat in my own filth for 3 days playing this game. I became so vial and disgusting my own wife wouldn't stay in the room... I lost my job. But just being able to role play as big bad wolf Jon Wayne is more than i could have asked for. PLAY IT.
