The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Description

The Witcher: Wild Hunt is a story-driven open world RPG set in a visually stunning fantasy universe full of meaningful choices and impactful consequences. In The Witcher, you play as professional monster hunter Geralt of Rivia tasked with finding a child of prophecy in a vast open world rich with merchant cities, pirate islands, dangerous mountain passes, and forgotten caverns to explore.

Players control protagonist Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer (known as a Witcher) who is looking for his missing adopted daughter on the run from the Wild Hunt, an otherworldly force determined to capture her and use her powers. Players battle the game's many dangers with weapons and magic, interact with non-player characters, and complete main-story and side quests to acquire experience points and gold, which are used to increase Geralt's abilities and purchase equipment. Its central story has several endings, determined by the player's choices at certain points in the game.

The Witcher 3 is absolutely lovely and is a shining example of what a single-player, open world, RPG should be. To this day it can hold such high standards even when compared to the latest games.

This game is so good that literally the developers released a card game named Gwent inside the game as a seperate game.

TW3: WH is what I play when I want to leave the world behind. The story is intriguing, the gameplay is challenging, and the world has fantastic views. The graphics are incredible, the game looks fantastic.

I heard about this game before and never really considered it, figured it wasn't my kind of thing. Then recently the Netflix series came out and a friend recommended it, so I watched that, and absolutely loved it (except for the parts where you could tell one of the writers is a crazy feminist). Loved the series so much I listened to 3/4 of the audio books.
